DepEd Dasmarinas, education partners jumpstart Brigada Eskwela 2016

United in the mission of providing disaster-prepared, clean, and safe schools for the Dasmarineno learners, the Department of Education City Schools Division of Dasmarinas together with the different stakeholders and volunteers from the government and private sector partner for the observance of this year’s National Maintenance Week from May 30 to June 4.

In a city motorcade and an opening ceremony held at Dasmarinas National High School, the Division Office led the kick off of the 2016 Brigada Eskwela with the theme “Tayo Para sa Kalinisan, Kaligtasan at Kahandaan ng ating mga Paaralan”. Present in the program are about 300 officials and personnel of the Division Office, public elementary and secondary school heads, PTA members, local barangay officials, and representatives from the different civic organizations and private companies.

“We want to thank our education stakeholders, parents, teachers, and LGU officials for partnering with us in ensuring that all schools in Dasmarinas City are ready for the opening of classes on June 13. Tayo para sa Brigada Eswkela sa Dasma. Tayo para sa Edukasyon,” said Dr. Emmanuel Resurreccion, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent.

Now on its 13th year, Brigada Eskwela presents an opportunity to the members of the community and other stakeholders to come together to mobilize resources and do volunteer work for the school opening. In Dasmarinas City, Brigada volunteers of the 39 public schools do maintenance and repair works and donate hardware supplies, cleaning materials, and kits for the learners.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela partners are: The City Government of Dasmarinas, Ecowaste Coalition, Jack N’ Jill Potato Chips, SM City Dasmarinas, The National College of Science and Technology, City Savings Bank, Knights of Columbus, Red Systems, Jollibee, Globe, Goldilocks, Robinsons Place Dasmarinas, MDC, Build Plus, Mang Inasal, Mcdonalds, East West Bank, Savemore, Red Ribbon, Expressions, The Philippine Star, Security Bank Foundation, EK&B Printing, The Philippine National Police, Hukbong Dagat ng Pilipinas, Kiwanis International, Splash Corporation, Dasmarinas Water District, Greenwich, Chowking, World Vision, DILG, Bureau of Fire Protection, Meralco, PNTC Colleges, Annie’s Catering, Scan International, De La Salle University, Asian Institute of Computer Studies, Bureau of Jail Management and Protection, Philippine Dental Association, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, First Solid Group, and Rotary International.
