1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 223, s. 2016 titled Strengthening the Implementation of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools Nationwide that mandates all Schools Division Offices to strengthen, provide technical assistance, and to ensure the implementation of Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) in schools. All these goals aimed at supporting the hunger mitigation initiatives of the government and ensure continuous supply of vegetables for the School-Based Feeding Program, and other feeding programs. Anent this, this division through the Youth Formation Program-School Governance and Operations hereby announces the conduct of PUNLA: A Division Training-Workshop for Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) Coordinators on October 18-19, 2022 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at Dasmarinas II Central School Library.
2. This three – day training-workshop ensures efficient implementation of Division- wide Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) which is designed to enhance and strengthen the knowledge of GPP Coordinators through adapting new and existing agricultural technology and review some of the GPP Program fundamentals that the GPP Coordinators may have forgotten. Specifically, participants shall be able to:
a. have greater awareness on Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP);
b. develop deeper understanding on the proper use and maintenance of farm tools and equipments;
c. gain wider appreciation on Seed Saving Technology and Cultural Management Practices of Vegetable Production
d. develop action plan for the improvement of the school vegetable garden
3. Participants to this training are all public schools’ Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) Coordinators. The participants are required to pre-register and confirm their attendance through the link provided below on or before October 14, 2022 (3PM).
