ursuant to Section 5 of DepEd Order No. 55 s. 2016, the Accreditation and Equivalency Assessment for Alternative Learning System will be conducted by DepEd through the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA). A & E final assessment shall be determined by 50% written assessment results and 50% portfolio content. The portfolio will contain work samples and projects with corresponding rubrics. Work samples will have a weight of 40% while projects will have a weight of 60%.
2. Relative to the aforementioned information, the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas will conduct a ONE-DAY ORIENTATION SEMINAR ON ALS PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT on April 20, 2017 at Dasmarinas National High School – Library, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
3.The training aims to: a. Enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in portfolio development. b. Explain the importance of portfolio in assessment c. Develop sample portfolio in preparation for the incoming A&E assessment. d. Relate the portfolio process to the achievement of teaching, learning and assessment.
4. The target personnel/participants are the ALS key implementers composed of 1 Education Program Supervisor, 2 Education Program Specialist 2, 6 Mobile Teachers, 2 District ALS Coordinators, 4 Para Teachers, 10 School ALS Coordinators (Secondary Level), 4 SALSC (Elementary Level), 21 AJ/DC Instructional Managers and 5 IMs from the service providers.
5. There is no registration fee. Participants are encouraged to bring their own provision for food.
