Republic Act 10633 also known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 provides that basic education shall produce learners that are rooted in sound educational principles and excellence, competent and productive in engaging to work able to harmoniously work with local and global communities, capable in autonomous, creative, and critical engagements.
In addition, DepEd Order 50, s. 2020 or DepEd Professional Development Priorities for Teachers and School Leaders for School Year 2020-2023 provides the realization of the DepEd’s goals of continuous upskilling and reskilling and school leaders that will result in better learning outcomes.
Anent this, to provide opportunities among MAPEH teachers on various teaching techniques and address common least mastered and uncovered learning competencies in Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH), this Office through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) will conduct a MAPEH Demonstration Teaching Expo.
This activity aims to:
1. Provide MAPEH teachers with understanding and knowledge on how least mastered and uncovered competencies may be taught using various strategies and approaches.
2. Enhance MAPEH teachers’ competence as they navigate the new normal ways of teaching.
3. Provide opportunities for MAPEH demonstration teachers to showcase their proficiency in delivering lessons through online mode.
