1. DepEd Memorandum No. 093, s. 2022 encourage all schools to observe the “2022
National Mental Health Month”, this October.

2. In this regard, all schools are enjoined to observe a simple and meaningful conduct
of the “National Mental Health Week” guided by the following provisions of DepEd
Order No. 34, s. 2022 or the “School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2022 –
2023”:
a. Schools shall strictly devote ten (10) weeks of every academic quarter to actual
classroom teaching. Schools are encouraged to integrate the celebrations/ observances provided for by law into curricular activities as they deem reasonable and appropriate, so long as the total number of school days shall not be compromised;
b. The eleventh week of each quarter may be used for the conduct of cocurricular
activities; and
c. Virtual activities through different social media platforms may be done but shall not form part of the learner’s grade.

3. Furthermore, the Division recommends the conduct of the following activities:
a. Lesson Integration and Refresher video prepared by the Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD) as guide for teachers on how to integrate mental health in the lesson;
b. Promotion initiatives during flag ceremony and other activities including songs and prayer related to mental health; and
c. Social Media Initiatives such as digital public materials, informative cards and short videos and pledge of support of the School Heads and Clinic Teachers to mental health.

4. Moreover, the field is invited to join the Facebook Live Broadcast of the learning session on DepEd Philippines Facebook Page on October 28, 2022.
