1. To ensure the delivery of quality basic education for all, this Office announces the
commencement of the conduct of remedial, enrichment, and advancement classes in the City
Schools Division of Dasmariñas on May 18, 2020. Guidelines and requirements for schools
offering classes during summer are specified in DepEd Order No. 013 s. 2018 titled
Implementing Guidelines on the Conduct of Remedial and Advancement Classes During
Summer for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.
2. This Office is accepting letters of request to offer online remedial or advancement classes
subject to the school’s capacity in terms of the availability of modules and technology,
competence of teachers, and other requirements. The conduct of summer classes is subject to
the approval of the Schools Division Superintendent through the Chief of the Curriculum
Implementation Division (CID) upon submission of complete requirements to their respective
Public Schools District Supervisors.
3. Schools that opt to offer summer classes are likewise mandated to adhere to the provisions of
DepEd Memorandum No. 51 s. 2020 titled Guidelines on the Conduct of Remedial,
Advancement, and Enrichment Classes During Summer 2020. Distance learning modality
will be utilized in light of the COVID 19 Pandemic and in compliance with Executive Order
No. 112 issued by the President of the Philippines on April 30, 2020 stating that physical classes
are suspended in basic education during Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and General
Community Quarantine (GCQ).
4. Moreover, the schools shall also enumerate their action steps to comply with the following
provisions of DepEd Order No. 013 s. 2018:
