1. For the guidance and direction of all concerned, including the schools under the jurisdiction of the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas, this office hereby informs the field of the duties and responsibilities of Division Senior High School Nurses.
2. The provisions of this Memorandum are intended to delineate specific tasks to ensure the delivery of more effective and efficient services to all learners, as well as to all teaching and non-teaching personnel within the Division.
3. For tasks specific to Division Senior High School Nurses:
a. Schools as substations
Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 19, s. 2016, “GUIDELINES ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES AND STAFFING PATTERNS OF STANDALONE AND INTEGRATED PUBLIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS,” Division SHS Nurses do not appear within the organizational structure of the Senior High Schools but belong to the category of “Shared Services” within the Division.Under the said Order, shared services are those that “pertain to positions whose roles, functions, and services are shared among schools within the division.“SHS nurses “may be deployed at a school or cluster schools as deemed necessary by the schools division office.”2
Under the same Order, Division SHS nurses are “stationed at the division; services to be shared by schools at the appropriate ratio.”3 This must be harmonized with Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2024-0123 entitled “IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY ON THE IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS OF PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS PURSUANT TO DEPED ORDER NO. 002, S. 2024.” The said Memorandum pertains to non-teaching personnel intended for schools, which were particularly identified as AOs, PDOs, and ADAS’s.
