Dasmariñas City – The Department of Education City Schools Division of Dasmariñas signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Library Renewal Partnership (LRP), a coalition of local and international organizations that seek to build libraries and community education centers in the Philippines and worldwide.
Under the Adopt-a-School Program (ASP), LRP pledged to donate books, learning area references, and professional development materials to the Division Learning Resource Center (DLRC) which caters to more than 127,000 students and 3,000 teachers in Dasmariñas City. In a MOU signing and donation turnover ceremony on September 28, LRP founder and managing director Quintin Jose Pastrana personally handed over the books to Division Librarian Marites Chavez, Division Adopt-a-School Coordinator Anne Katherine Cortez and Education Program Specialist Mark Jayson Espinosa.

SDS Christopher Diaz expressed his gratitude to LRP and his desire to sustain the partnership and champion literacy among the youth and professional development among the teachers in DepEd Dasmariñas.
The books and references from LRP are made available to students and teachers through the DLRC managed by the Learning Resource Management and Development Section under the Curriculum Implementation Division.
