Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 524, s. 2004 and DepEd Memorandum No. 171, s. 2019, the field is enjoined in the Celebration of National Rice Awareness Month in November 2019 with the theme: Buy Local. Eat Local. Support our Rice Farmers.
The celebration aims to impart the importance and advantage of eating safe and nutritious rice to customers, instilling the value of patriotism in supporting the local rice farmers, and helping the rice industry as a whole.
In this regard, schools are encouraged to conduct awareness campaign such as, but not limited to, hanging of Tarpapel/Streamer and recitation of Panatang Makapalay during Flag Raising Ceremony.
