1. The Department of Education (DepEd) hereby confirms the designation of Director Malcolm S. Garma, as member of the DepEd Provident Fund National Board of Trustees, to represent the DepEd Regional Directors, vice then Regional Director Lorna Dig Dino, now appointed as the DepEd Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction.
2. This is pursuant to Section 3 (Governance) of Administrative Order No. 279, s. 1992 entitled Prescribing Rules and Regulations for the Establishment and Administration of a Provident Fund of Agencies Covered by Section 41 of the General Provisions of Republic Act No. 7180 (copy enclosed) and as determined by the election facilitated by the Association of DepEd Directors Inc. on January 26,2018.
3. Director Garma shall perform his functions and responsibilities stipulated under DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2004 entitled Revised Implementing Guidelines for DepEd Provident Fund and shall serve for a term of one year or until such time that the new Board is reconstituted.
4. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
