1. Relative to Presidential Proclamation No. 1667 in 2008, declaring November 19-25 as Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week, this Office joins the Climate Change Commission in pushing for meaningful undertakings to bolster the integration of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Climate Change Adaptation and Management in basic education and overall disaster preparedness.
2. This year’s CCC Week theme, “Aksyon at Adaptasyon ng Makabagong Henerasyon”, highlights activities like Net Zero Challenge, Philippine Resilience Awards, and Solidarity Night which aim to strengthen our adaptive capacities and move us toward a sustainable, resilient future. The field may conduct similar activities to support this effort.
3. Furthermore, in compliance with Division Order No. 1, 2019 titled Regulating the Use of Plastic Products in Schools and Offices in the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas and Division Memorandum No. 45,2. 2021 titled Banning of Single-Use Plastic Products in All Division and School Training and Activities, participants are advised to avoid single use plastics and bring their own water tumblers in their own activities for this week.
