1. Pursuant to the Department of Health (DOH) Department Memorandum No. 2024-0250 titled “Interim Guidelines on the Resumption of School-Based Immunization (SBI) for the Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPDs),” the Department of Education (DepEd), in partnership with DOH and Local Government Units (LGUs), shall resume the implementation of school-based immunization targeting specific grade levels.

2. The School-Based Immunization program aims to protect school-aged children against’ measles, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria, and human papillomavirus (HPV), especially with the full return of face-to-face classes and the increasing risk of VPD outbreaks.
