1. Pursuant to Department of Education Memorandum No.50 s.2025, Learners’ Health Assessment and Screening for SY 2025-2026, DepEd ensures that learners have access to quality medical, dental, nursing, nutrition, and mental health services that will allow them to attain their full educational potential.
2. In line with this, the Division will hold an orientation activity which aims to inform the parents on the YAKAP program of PhilHealth which is part of the referral system for the Learner’s Health Assessment and Screening. The PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) is a rebranded and enhanced version of the Konsulta Program, providing comprehensive primary healthcare services including free consultations, diagnostic tests, and up to P20,000 worth of medicines annually for its members. It aims to reduce out-of-pocket expenses by expanding coverage for essential health needs.
3. The different activities that PhilHealth will conduct in the schools are as follows:
A. Orientation on the YAKAP Program
B. Registration of Learners, Parents, School Personnel to the YAKAP Program
C. Medical Check-up for those who wants to be registered in the YAKAP Program of their chosen accredited health facility
