1. In line with the Memorandum from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bureau of Maintenance regarding the DPWH Resiliency Program in preparation for the “The Big One”, the field is hereby informed that the DPWH Cavite 3r1 District Engineering Office will conduct site visits and seismic vulnerability and risk assessments on all public school buildings. This will utilize the Rapid Visual Screening of Building for Potential Seismic Hazards or FEMA-154 Data Collection Form.
2. All public schools are advised to prepare photocopies of the following documents prior to the visit:
a. SY2024-2025 School Building Inventory (Table 1);
b. SY2024-2025 School Site Development Plan; and
c. Demolition Permits, if applicable.
3. All School Heads are directed to implement necessary arrangement to ensure that no school operations shall be hampered during the assessment.
4. Travel costs incurred in relation to participation in face-to-face activities shall be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing guidelines.
