1. In efforts to reaffirm our commitment to intensify climate literacy and support climate action in the basic education sector, this Office, through the School Governance and Operations Division – Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, hereby encourages everyone to join and participate in various climate change adaptation and mitigation (CCAM) initiatives this month of November.
2. Relative to Republic Act No. 9729 or the Climate Change Act of 2009 signed in 2008, Climate Change Consciousness (CCC) Week is observed annually from November 19 to 25, this year’s theme, “Makabagong Kilusan para sa Klima at Kinabukasan.”
3. To kick off the CCC Week, the Climate Change Commission is encouraging participation in the social media launching of this year’s banner and theme using these hashtags; #TogetherForClimate, #CCCWeek2025, #ResilientFuturePH, #SamaSamaParaSaKlimaKalikasanAtKinabukasan, #DepEdReadyKa, and #MakabagongKilusanParaSaKlimaAtKinabukasan
