1. Republic Act No. 12009, otherwise known as the “New Government Procurement Act”, was enacted to further strengthen transparency, accountability, efficiency, and competitiveness in public procurement. It repeals and replaces RA 9184 and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations, thereby introducing significant reforms in the procurement system.
2. In compliance with the three-year (3) transition period to the implementation of RA 12009 or the New Government Procurement Act, the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas will conduct the Division Capability Building on Republic Act (RA) 12009 to ensure that the Schools Division Office (SDO) Proper and its schools are well-oriented and all its procurement activities are fully compliant with the new guidelines and procedures.
3. The activity shall be held on November 27 to 28, 2025 at Extremeli Suites (Extremeli Inc.), G-21, Solemare Park Suites, 1701 Bradco Ave, Parafiaque, Metro Manila.
4. Attached is the list of participants for ready reference.
5. Participation to this activity shall adhere to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 on Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith, and strict compliance to other existing DepEd rules and guidelines.
6. Travel costs that shall be incurred in participation to face-to-face activities shall be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing guidelines.
