1. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Presidential Proclamation No. 124, s. 2001, declaring the third week of November every year as Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week, this Division, through the School Governance and Operations Division, Youth Formation Section, hereby announces the conduct of Orientation on the Pilot Implementation of Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB): Strengthening Learners For A Vice-Free Future Cum Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week Celebration on November 22, 2025, School Library, Dasmarinas Integrated High School.
2. This activity aims to equip the participants with updated knowledge to effectively implement the Barkada Kontra Bisyo flagship program of the Department. Specifically, to:
a. promote awareness and implement preventive programs to help learners overcome vices and build positive character;
b. educate the participants on the Constitution and By-Laws of Barkada Kontra Bisyo;
c. provide clear Guidelines on the Establishment of Barkada Kontra Bisyo in schools;
d. familiarize participants with the Registration and Membership Forms for proper documentation;
e. provide the recommended Programs, Projects, and Activities that promote healthy lifestyles and positive peer influence; and
f. ensure the sustainability of BKB initiatives through school-based action planning.
