1. Relative to DepEd Memorandum No. 016, s. 2026 re: Administration of the Senior High School Literacy and Numeracy Assessments (SHS LNA) for Grade 11 Learners in School Year 2025-2026, this Office informs all public and private secondary schools offering Senior High School that the SHS LNA shall be administered during regular classes within the testing window of March 9-18, 2026 to all Grade 11 learners who are enrolled in the current school year.

2. The SHS LNA shall be used to determine the literacy and numeracy levels of Grade 11 students and to inform the implementation of remediation activities. The SHS Literacy Assessment is designed to evaluate SHS learners’ reading comprehension skills in both English and Filipino. It will determine each learner’s reading profile – whether independent, instructional, or frustration level – and assess their performance across the domains of literal comprehension, inferential comprehension, and knowledge construction. Meanwhile, the SHS Numeracy Assessment is designed to evaluate SHS learners’ numeracy skills and establish their proficiency levels, ranging from not proficient to highly proficient. It will also measure their performance across key mathematical domains: Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Data ang Probability.
