1. In adherence to the Department of Education’s commitment to promote and safeguard learners’ health and well-being, and pursuant to the following policies:
• DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2016 the Policy and Guidelines for the Comprehensive Water Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools (WINS) Program;
• DepEd Memorandum No, 223, s. 2016, Strengthening the Implementation of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools Nationwide; and
• DepEd Order No, 52, s. 2008 the Compliance with Deped Policies on Food Safety in Schools.
The Health and Nutrition Unit of the Schools Division Office of Dasmarinas City shall conduct year-round monitoring of health-related programs in all public elementary and secondary schools in Dasmarinas City.
2. The monitoring aims to:
a. Assess the implementation status of school health and Nutrition programs;
b. Ensure compliance with existing Deped policies, standards, and guidelines;
c. Identify gaps, issues and best practices; and
d. Provide appropriate technical assistance to schools to improve program delivery.
