1. Pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 12028, otherwise known as the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program Act, and its implementing guidelines under DepEd Order No. 018, s. 2025, titled Implementing Guidelines on the ARAL Program, as well as DepEd Memorandum No. 050, s. 2025, titled Learners’ Health Assessment and Screening Program, this Office directs all public elementary and secondary schools to conduct vision screening of all identified ARAL learners for School
Year 2026-2027, starting July 01, 2026 to July 15, 2026.
2. This initiative aims to identify learners with possible visual impairments that may hinder their literacy and numeracy development and ensure that appropriate interventions and referrals are provided.
