1. Pursuant to the Memorandum issued by the Office of the Secretary dated August 12, 2026 titled “Conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents”, this Office, through the School Governance and Operations Division – Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, hereby informs the field on the conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for
Active Attack Incidents.
2. This activity aims to immerse and prepare education stakeholders, from our learners, teachers, non-teaching personnel and school administration, in the safety and coordination protocols in the event of an active attack or active shooting incident in a school setting.
3. There will be an emergency coordination meeting with School Heads and School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Coordinators, or their Safety or Security Officer, of both public and private schools on August 24, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. The meeting link will be cascaded through official Facebook group chats
4. The Division pre-selected two (2) secondary schools to perform the Nationwide Simultaneous drill on August 25, 2026, namely Dasmarinas East Integrated High School at 9:00 a.m. and Emmanuel Resurreccion Congressional Integrated High School at 2:00 p.m.
