1. In reference to DepEd Order No. 001, s. 2026 titled “Implementing Guidelines on the Enhanced Alternative Learning System”, which provides the policies, standards, and procedures in the implementation of the Enhanced ALS Program, the Schools Division Office through the Curriculum Implementation Division shall conduct a Division Capacity Building for ALS Implementers on September 7-9,2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the SPED Conference Room.
2. This activity aims to:
a. develop and utilize an ILAW lesson plan that is aligned with learners’ needs, competencies, and the ALS learning context;
b. apply appropriate reading approaches and strategies that address the literacy needs and learning levels of BLP learners;
c. apply effective and contextualized strategies to improve the reading comprehension skills of ALS learners;
d. demonstrate understanding of the purpose, administration, and proper use of the FLT in assessing learners’ functional literacy skills; and
e. identify available learning resources through existing modules based on the revised ALS curriculum.
3. Participants to this activity are the ALS teachers, Community ALS Implementors and Service Providers.
