1. In compliance to Regional Memorandum No. 569, s. 2026 dated September 2, 2026 titled “Precautionary Measures on Haze-affected Air Quality”, this Office, through the School Governance and Operations Division – Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, hereby informs the field on the advisory from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau on the air quality situation caused by the haze particularly NCR, Central Luzon, MIMAROPA, most especially CALABARZON as induced by the ongoing fires in Indonesia.
2. As precautionary measures for learners, teachers, school and office-based non-teaching personnel, the following are likewise must be observed:
a. Be updated on official advisories monitoring air quality;
b. Use a well-fitting N95 mask or other protective gears when going outdoors;
c. Avoid prolonged outdoor activities; and
d. Stay indoors as much as possible
