Month of June was declared as National No Smoking Month (Presidential Proclamation No. 183 s. 1993). As announced by the Department of Health, the theme for this year’s celebration is “Graphic Health Warnings (GHW): Full Blast Na Sa November! Alamin. Unawain. Bantayan Natin.”
In cooperation of the Department of Education with the Department of Health, the DepEd mandate to use the GHWs templates to educate children on the ill effects of tobacco use and to include these in relevant subject areas under the K to 12 Currriculum.
All elementary and secondary schools are required to organize educational and social activities on the last Monday of June, June 27, 2016. The activities shall be having narrative and pictorial reports.
