1. In consonance with Republic Act 7079 otherwise known as Campus Journalism Act of 1991, National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2017 will be held on January 22-26, 2017 at Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur with the theme “The Role of 21″ Century Campus Journalists in Upholding Good Governance, Leadership and Transparency”
2. This press conference aims to: a. demonstrate understanding of the importance of journalism by expressing it thought in different journalistic endeavors and approaches. b. sustain advocacy on social consciousness and environmental awareness. c. provide venue for an enriching learning experience for student interested in journalism as a career or those who use skill sets learned through campus journalism to give them a better edge on their chosen career. d. promote responsible journalism, fair and ethical use of social media. e. enhance journalistic competence through healthy and friendly competition.
3. In line with this, City Schools Division of Dasmarinas will participate in this prestigious event particularly those Campus Journalists who won first to third place in individual category during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) and their respective coaches, School Paper Advisers of the Top 10 Best School Paper category, Division Officials such as Schools Division Superintendent (SDS), Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS), Supervisor In-charge of Campus Journalism, SGOD/CID Chief and Education Program Supervisors and Regional Association of School Paper Advisers (RASPA) Officers.
4. Participants to this event as identified in the content of this Memorandum No.3 are the following:

5. A registration fee of P4,000.00 which covers cost of board and lodging, kits including conference materials, rental of equipment, vehicle, payment of utilities, contingency and other expenses relative to the conduct of this activity such as air fare, transportation, allowance of the participants shall be charged from school campus journalism funds, school local funds, canteen funds, school/division MOOE subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
6. Pertinent papers such as Travel Order, Official Receipt of Expenses, Certificate of Appearance, Reimbursement Expenses Receipt (RER) Memorandum and other documents necessary for liquidation are required to submit by each participant.
