For the information of all concerned, there is a newly established organization of both Public Elementary and Secondary School Teachers in the City of Dasmariñas. This is in consonance with Sections 27 of Republic Act 4670 also known as the Magna Carta for Public School Teachers which states as follows:
“Section 27: Freedom to Organize. Public school teachers shall have the right to freely and without previous authorization both to establish and to join organizations of their choosing, whether local or national to further and defend their interests,”
In view of the foregoing, all public school teachers in the City of Dasmariñas are hereby encouraged to join the aforementioned newly formed organization with an annual membership fee of fifty pesos (P50.00) which shall be utilized for its operational expenses. Be assured that this organization shall strive for the following objectives:
1. To organize the public school teachers in the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas in a responsive, strong and formidable union;
2. To promote teachers’ professional, economic and social welfare;
3. To represent, assist, and defend the rights and interests of its members;
4. To foster cooperation among its members, organizations and individuals to carry out the objectives, and guiding principles of the Organization; 5. To disseminate vital information and issues through official organ and other communication media;
6. To uphold the role of teachers not only as transmitters of knowledge but also as agents for cultural change and social transformation;
7. To be instrumental in the development of an active, dynamic and progressive teachers’ organization in the grassroots;
8. To promote a culture of brotherhood, peace, freedom and unity among the teachers;
9. To ally itself with other marginalized sectors of society in pursuit of common interests and aspirations; and
10. To build solidarity with teachers’ organizations in the country and abroad for the pursuit of common goals and universal recognition of teachers’ role in the society.
Attached herewith is a copy of membership form. The membership fee shall be coursed through the faculty club president who in turn will remit the same to the CDPSTF Treasurer for records purposes and issuance of acknowledgment receipt.
