1. Relative to Regional Memorandum No. 171 , s. 2024 titled Resources for Catch-up Fridays and Prohibition of Assigning Extraneous Tasks and Reports to Teachers, and in reiteration of Memorandum dated February 21 , 2024 from Undersecretary Gina O. Gonong, Curriculum and Teaching, and Undersecretary Revsee A. Escobedo, Operations, this Office hereby informs the field of the following provisions:
a. All governance levels are reminded that the implementation of Catch-up Fridays is not tantamount to overburdening teachers with tasks beyond the requirements specified in DM 001, s. 2024;
b. Schools are directed to relieve the teachers from any extraneous activities, paperwork, or report that does not directly contribute to the goals and objectives of Catch-up Fridays.;
c. Teachers shall not be compelled to prepare and submit reports that solely serve as means of verification (MOV) for monitoring and evaluation; and,
d. Catch-up Friday’s resources, including teaching guides for Peace, Health, and Values Education, can be accessed through this link: https://bit.ly/CatchUpFridayResources.
