1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 008, s. 2023 or the Multi-Year Guidelines on the Results-based Performance Management System-Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (RPMS-PPST), this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division, shall conduct the Division Orientation on the Results-based Performance Management System-Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (RPMS-PPST) Guidelines for School Year 2022-2023 on February 20, 2023 for all Proficient Teachers and on February 21, 2023 for all Highly Proficient Teachers. The orientation will be streamed from 8:00AM-5:00PM, live via YouTube Unlisted, link of which shall be communicated via official Facebook group chats of the City Schools Division prior to the scheduled orientation.
2. This two-day orientation aims to:
2.1 disseminate the multi-year guidelines on the RPMS-PPST, with focus on SY 2022-2023;
2.2 elaborate classroom observation protocols, tools, and forms; and means of verification for non-classroom observable indicators; and
2.3 assist Proficient and Highly Proficient teachers in the performance of their roles and functions in light of the RPMS-PPST.
3. Participants are all teachers in public elementary and secondary schools and community learning centers, including those assigned to teach under the Alternative Learning System (ALS), Special Education (SpEd), Madrasah Education, and Special Science Education. All School Heads, Public Schools District Supervisors, Education Program Supervisors, and Education Program Specialists for ALS are invited to attend both days of the orientation.
4. Enclosed to this Memorandum is the Orientation Matrix for the two-day division orientation.
5. Classes on February 20-21, 2023 shall revert to distance learning. All participating teachers shall ensure that asynchronous tasks are given to learners on or before February 17, 2023 to cover the in-person classes for February 20-21, 2023. In addition, teachers are advised to report onsite during the two-day orientation and to attend in small viewing groups. School Heads and Public Schools District Supervisors are directed to monitor the attendance and participation of teachers during the orientation.
