1. The International Adolescent Health Week (IAHW) brings together young people, healthcare providers, teachers, parents, advocates, and communities to celebrate youth and collectively work towards improving the health and well-being of the more than 1 Billion adolescents worldwide. This engagçs adolescents and those close to them to inspire communities to advocate for successful transition into adulthood. This grass-roots initiative aims to create a platform for collaboration and celebration, with the ultimate goal of promoting adolescent health and well-being globaly.
2. This year, the IAHW will be celebrated on March 19-25, 2023 with the theme: “With and For Adolescents: Building a Healthier and More Inclusive
Future.”
3. In line with this, the Office of the Undersecretary for Operations, through the Bureau of Learner Support Services- School Health Division (BLSS-SHD) in collaboration with the Public Affairs Service, enjoins all field offices to celebrate the IAHW through the following:
3.1 Wearing of lime green to celebrate the week, which represents health, happiness, and the high energy and passion of adolescents.
3.2 Sharing of social media content regarding adolescent health from the Official DepEd Philippines Facebook Page.
