1. In reference to the Office of the Undersecretary for Operations Memorandum OUOPS No. 2023-03 dated 05 May 2023, the field is hereby informed of the changes from Supreme Pupil and Supreme Student Government (SPG/SSG) to Supreme Elementary and Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SELG/SSLG) including its Constitution and By-Laws and conduct of elections, among other things.
2. The Interim Guidelines of the Learner Government Program prescribe to conduct School-Based Elections for the SELG and SSLG from May 15 to June 8, 2023.
3. Anent this, there will be a meeting regarding this Division Memorandum on May 17, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. via the Zoom App. Attendees to this are the SELG/SSLG Teacher-Advisers. The link to the meeting shall be provided to them through the official Facebook Messenger Group Chat.
4. School heads are further instructed to implement necessary arrangement to ensure that no classes shall be disrupted by the conduct of the elections in consideration of DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 on Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time – On – Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith, and strict compliance to other existing DepEd rules and regulations.
5. This Division strictly adheres to Division Order No. 1, series of 2019 and Division Memorandum No. 45, series of 2021 titled Regulating the Use of Plastic Products in Schools and Offices in the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas and Banning of Single-Use Plastic Products in All Division and School Trainings and Activities, respectively and enjoins schools to do the same (e.g. utilizing tarpapel instead of single-use tarpaulins in putting up signages).
6. All expenses relative to this activity shall be charged to the School Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), local funds or other available funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
