1. Pursuant to Regional Memorandum No. 285, s. 2023 regarding the Call for Basic Research Proposals for the 9th Cycle of Basic Education Research Fund (BERF), the Planning and Research Unit under the School Governance and Operations Division calls for the submission of the 9th cycle BERF basic research proposals.
2. All public elementary and secondary schools are advised to submit at least one (1) basic research proposal per school following these qualifications:
a) Aligned with the MATATAG agenda of the Department;
b) Conformed with the priorities of the region regarding Learning Recovery Plan focusing on building foundations and responding to immediate challenges (see Regional Memorandum No. 116, s. 2023); and
c) Sustained BERF and non-BERF papers.
3. In this regard, complete submissions shall be made on or before June 19, 2023, at https://bit.ly/9th-BERF-Basic-Research-Proposal.
4. Further, all documents shall follow the regional templates provided at https.//bit.ly/RevisedBERFforms including the:
a) Research Application Form
b) Basic Research Proposal Template
c) Declaration of Anti-Plagiarism and Absence of Conflict of Interest
d) Cost Estimates and Approval Form
e) Oath of Authenticity and Veracity of Documents
