June 03, 2023 – To strengthen and showcase students’ academic competence, Dasmariñas City Schools Division hosted an exceptional showcase of talent and academic brilliance as various schools in the division simultaneously held the much-anticipated Festival of Talents.

The event, which saw participation from numerous schools across the city, aimed to celebrate and recognize the diverse talents and skills of students in different academic fields.

Paliparan II Integrated High School, two events took center stage, the Technolympics, headed by Mr. Joel D. Salazar, Education Program Supervisor in TLE which provided a platform for students to exhibit their technical skills and innovative prowess. This event witnessed students engaging in thrilling competitions that showcased their mastery of various technological tools and techniques.

Simultaneously, Sining Tanghalan, was held at Paliparan II Integrated High School, under the guidance of Dr. John Nepomoceno, Education Program Supervisor. Students brought the stage to life with their awe-inspiring performances, ranging from music and dance to theatrical acts. The audience was treated to a mesmerizing display of artistic talents, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Dasmariñas City.

Dasmariñas East Integrated High School played host to two thought-provoking events. Under the supervision of Mr. Alejo S. Filio Jr., Education Program Supervisor in Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies), the Population Development Online Oration and Pop Quiz event delved into crucial topics related to population growth, sustainable development, and responsible citizenship. Students showcased their eloquence and comprehensive understanding of these important issues, emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making.

Meanwhile, at the same venue, Mr. Noel D. Anciado, Education Program Supervisor in English, spearheaded the Read-A-Thon English event. Students immersed themselves in the world of literature, as they read captivating stories and narratives aloud, showcasing their fluency, interpretation, and passion for the English language.

At Dasmariñas Integrated High School, the enthusiasm for literature continued with the Read-A-Thon Filipino event, led by the Education Program Supervisor in Filipino, Fragilyn Rafael. Students embraced their national language as they brought Filipino literature to life through their expressive readings. This event celebrated the richness of the Filipino culture and the beauty of the national language.

Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School witnessed the astonishing display of scientific prowess during the STEMazing event. Vic B. Villador, the Public School District Supervisor and Science OIC EPS (Education Program Supervisor), headed this event. Students engaged in captivating experiments and presentations, showcasing their innovation and problem-solving skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Meanwhile, at Dasmariñas II Central School and Dasmariñas Integrated High School, the Mathematics Education Program Supervisor, Rowena R. Cariaga, organized two exhilarating events: MATHrathon and MATH-Trail. Students tested their mathematical abilities through engaging competitions and challenging problem-solving activities. These events aimed to cultivate a love for mathematics and stimulate analytical thinking among participants.

Amazingly talented kindergarten pupils from around the city channeled their imagination, creativity, and liguistic ability through the Guhit Bulilit headed by Mrs. Marites O. Manicio, EPS – Kindergarten and SpEd, held at San Miguel Elementary School.

The Festival of Talents in the entire Schools Division of Dasmariñas has undeniably demonstrated the remarkable skills, talent, and dedication of the city’s students. This event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their abilities but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition, camaraderie, and intellectual growth.

The DepEd Dasma’s 2023 Festival of Talents serves as a testament to the DepEd Dasma’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education that nurtures students’ talents and prepares them for a bright future. As the event came to a close, the participants left inspired and motivated, ready to pursue their passions and continue striving for excellence in their chosen fields.
