1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2023, all private schools are informed of
the amendment to DepEd Order No. 88, S. 2010 as Amended by DepEd Order
No. 11, S. 2011 And DepEd Order No. 041, S. 2022.
2. In exigency of service and to avoid undue displacement of learners, private
schools falling under any one of the following criteria shall be granted a period
of two years, e.g. SY 2023-2024 until SY 2024-2025, to comply with the
requirements for the issuance of permit to operate:
a. those with pending application of renewal;
b. those whose application for government recognition were denied but considered for permit renewal;
c. those with new application submitted within the prescribed period; or
d. those application considered as new based on justifiable reasons or circumstances such as the lack of a permit in the previous SY.
3. This transitory period shall not apply to the mandatory requirements from
the Securities and Exchange Commission and the occupancy permit issued by the concerned Local Government Unit.
4. All other provisions stated in the 2011 Revised Manual of Regulations for Private Schools in Basic Education shall remain effective, unless otherwise amended by other DepEd issuances.
