1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 44, s. 2022 titled Philippine Youth Convergence 2022 and Regional Memorandum No. DepEd-4A-03-RM-22-317 titled Participation to the Philippine Youth Convergence 2022, this Division through the School Governance and Operations Division – Youth Formation Program, announces the participation of selected student-leaders to the in-person activity of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns – Youth Formation Division (OASYASC-YFD) titled Philippine Youth Convergence 2022 on June 14 to 17, 2022 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
2. The Philippine Youth Convergence 2022 aims, among others, to revitalize youth participation in achieving quality and inclusive education by spearheading conversations about pressing and relevant issues, as well as to provide participants from across SDOs and regions with a face to face avenue to dialogue, share, and collaborate ideas, insights, lessons learned, and best practices in youth involvement in public and civic affairs.
3. The participants are expected to attend the coordination meeting on June 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with their parents/guardians via Zoom. They are also advised to register to the link provided below where they can also upload a copy of the Parental Consent and Waiver Form.
4. Board and lodging shall be taken care of by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns – Youth Formation Division (OASYASC-YFD). Training expenses and other incidental expenses of the Division Youth Formation Coordinators shall be charged to the local funds of the Schools Division Office while those of the youth and student-leader participants shall be chargeable to the local funds of their respective school’s subject to the usual accounting, auditing and reporting rules and regulations.
5. Enclosed to this Division Memorandum are: 1) List of Participants; and 2) Parental Consent and Waiver Form.
