Dasmarinas City – The City Schools Division of Dasmarinas hosted the Orientation on Partnership Building for School Administrators and Partnership Focal Persons organized by the Central Office External Partnerships Service under Usec. Tonisito M.C. Umali, Esq, August 27, The Bayleaf Hotel Cavite.
Attended by 150 school heads, Adopt-a-School Program (ASP) coordinators, Brigada Eskwela (BE) coordinators, and Senior High School (SHS) work immersion partners, the whole-day orientation focused on the programs and projects implemented by the Department of Education to mobilize support and resources from private sector, local government, and community partners.

Dr. Lualhati O. Cadavedo, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, welcomed the participants and commended the efforts of the school heads and partnership focal persons in building and sustaining partnerships for the improvement of schools and learning centers in Dasmarinas.

Commencing the orientation, Ms. Caroline Labrague facilitated the discussion on the Adopt-a-School Program and gave examples of the programs and projects supported by DepEd partners. In another session, tips for engaging partners for Senior High School particularly the work immersion program were discussed by Ms. Davedinah Cometa. To wrap up the training, Ms. Zeny Lastimoza explained the requirements and step-by-step procedure on tax incentive application under Republic Act 8525.

In his closing message, Dr. Emmanuel L. Resurreccion, SGOD Chief, challenged the paricipants to build more and lasting partnerships for the benefit of students – the bottom line of all partnerships efforts as what is always emphasized by SDS Christopher R. Diaz. He also thanked the Central Office for its technical assistance to the Division of Dasmarinas City.

Serving as the technical working group in the orientation is the Social Mobilization and Networking Section along with the other units under the School Governance and Operations Division.
