The three-day seminar-workshop entitled “Division Training on Partnership Building for K to 12 Senior High School and Adopt-a-School Program” gathered about 100 participants from the 39 public elementary and secondary schools in the Division.
“In this training, we hope to make you realize that you are part of the noble work of articulating the plans of the education sector to our stakeholders. In doing so, we seek to establish ties with them and together, we can make the ship of education sail forward. This is the core of partnership building,” said Dr. Manuela S. Tolentino, OIC- Schools Division Superintendent, during the opening program.
The first day of the training, which focused on building rapport among the attendees through team activities, was facilitated by Mr. Kabaitan Bautista and Mr. Argie Aguas of YGOAL. The participants were engaged in several exercises to develop trust and group dynamics.

On the second and third day, resource speakers from the Central Office and the Division Office worked together to discuss the steps in the partnership building process, the different areas for partnership under the SHS and ASP, and the necessary documents in formal partnership agreements.
Among the speakers are Mr. Rolly Soriano, Mr. Eric Mendoza, Ms. Zeny Lastimoza, and Mr. Mark Angelo Abinsay from the External Partnerships Service Unit of the Central Office, and Atty. Rhina May Elicano, Ms. Leylanie Adao, and Ms. Anne Katherine Cortez from the Division Office.
In the course of the training, the participants were challenged to grow and sustain the network of the Division’s partners for the Senior High School and the Adopt-a-School Program. Dr. Emmanuel L. Resurreccion, OIC – Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and Chief of the Schools Governance and Operations Division, encouraged the school heads and SHS and ASP coordinators to nurture sustainable partnerships with DepEd’s stakeholders and not only one-time engagements.
