1. In reference to DepEd Order No. 055, s. 2016 titled “Policy Guidelines on the National Assessment of Student Learning for the k to 12 Basic Education Program,” the A&E Test aims to measure the competencies and life skills of Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners in elementary or junior high school (JHs). This assessment shall allow ALS learners to obtain certification of completion in basic education, which may be used to access further education, job promotion, entry to job training, and employment.
2. Paragraph 14 of DepEd Memorandum No. 100 s. 2025 (2025 Accreditation and Equivalency Test Registration and Administration Guidelines) states that the Presentation Portfolio Assessment (PPA) is required for ALS learners to qualify for the 2026 A&E Test. It shall be conducted prior to the administration of the A&E Test.
3. In accordance with this, the Alternative Learning System under the Curriculum Implementation Division hereby announces the division conduct of PPA for 2026 Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test on February 9 – 25, 2026 in their respective Community Learning Centers (CLCs).
4. ALS teachers shall conduct an initial assessment of the presentation portfolio of their learners (Please see attachment no. 1).
