1. In line with the implementation of the Special Program for the Arts (SPA) and the continuous professional development of teachers in the field of Arts Education, this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), announces the conduct of the Seminar-Workshop entitled “LiteraSine: A Film Literacy Workshop for Teachers” at Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School on February 26-27, 2026 and March 2, 2026.

2. This activity is anchored on DECS Memorandum No. 135, s. 2001 (Implementing Guidelines for the Pilot Implementation of the Special Program for the Arts) and aligned with DepEd Order No. 21, s. 2019 (Policy Guidelines on the K to 12 Basic Education Program) and DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2015 (Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment). The workshop aims to enhance teachers’ competencies in film literacy and Media Arts instruction, particularly in the integration of film into the MAPEH Curriculum (Theater Arts and Media Arts strands).

3. This seminar-workshop aims to:
• Strengthen teachers’ understanding of film as an art form and instructional medium.
• Develop innovative teaching strategies in Arts using film and media.
• Equip teachers with authentic assessment tools aligned with performance-based learning.
• Support the effective implementation of the Special Program for the Arts in the Division.
