1. Relative to the administrative notes of the Bureau of Learning Resources (BLR) and Regional Memorandum No. 487, s. 2025, this Office, through the CIDLearning Resource Management Section, announces the conduct of the Division Level Screening and Selection of Gawad Teodora Alonso (GTA) 2025 on July to August 2025. Enclosed in this Memorandum is the schedule of activities relative to the conduct of this competition.
2. The competition aims to appreciate the role of stories and illustrated storybooks as a tool in the development of reading and learning curricular content standards; harvest original stories that demonstrate learning competencies of the DepEd Basic Education Curriculum; recognize the skills and talents of classroom teachers and non-teaching personnel in the production of storybooks for basic education; and contribute to the treasury of content materials for utilization as reading resources and transformation to engaging media.
3. Attached herewith is the BLR Administrative Notes on the Conduct of Pre- Competition Activities for GTA 2025 and DepEd Regional Memorandum No. 487, s. 2025 for reference on the official guidelines and mechanics of the competition.
