1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 66 and No. 85, s. 2018, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas enjoins all public elementary and secondary schools to observe the National Schools Maintenance Week, also known as Brigada Eskwela, scheduled on May 28 to June 2, 2018. This year’s theme is “Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas, at Matatag na Paaralan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan.”
2. The Division kick-off ceremony and launch of Brigada Eskwela 2018 will be held on May 27, 6:00 to 9:00 AM at Dasmariñas Integrated High School. Each school is invited to send 20 representatives composed of the following: School Head, ASP/BE Coordinator, DRRM Coordinator, teachers, PTA officers and members, LGU representatives and other stakeholders.
3. School heads shall take the lead in the planning and observance of Brigada Eskwela at the school level including their respective kick-off programs on May 28. Enclosed with this Memorandum are the following materials for the school heads’ guidance: Reminders on BE Implementation, School Safety and Preparedness Guide, Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, WASH in Schools During Brigada Eskwela, and the Selection Criteria for the Best BE Implementer.
4. The division-wide monitoring of Brigada Eskwela implementation in schools will be held on May 30 to June 2. Attached is the BE monitoring schedule and checklist/ tool for ready reference. All schools are directed to prepare all documents relevant to the School Improvement Plan and Brigada Eskwela.
