1. Pursuant to the DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2025, this Division hereby disseminates the enclosed policy titled “Policy Guidelines on the Institutionalization of the School Sports Club (SSC) in Public Schools.”
2. The above-mentioned DepEd Order aims to allow for more active and accessible sports participation among all types of learners. It guides the schools in terms of sports clubs’ establishment, operations, management, merits, and rewards, fund sources, and monitoring. It also provides program support for school sports clubs through the Sports Supplies and Equipment Enhancement and Distribution (SSEED) Program.
3. Thus, the schools with existing school sports clubs shall adopt the guidelines provided herein, and the schools without SSCs shall establish their schools’ sports clubs accordingly.
