1. In line with the Department’s commitment to promote the health and well-being of every learner, and pursuant to DepEd Order No. 50, s. 2025 entitled “Learners’ Health Assessment and Screening (LHAS) for School Year 2025-2026”, all schools are directed to conduct the LHAS for all learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12, including those enrolled in the Alternative Learning System (ALS). The LHAS will provide schools and parents with important baseline information on learners’ health, enabling timely support, referrals, and interventions.
2. The LHAS is designed to safeguard the health and overall well-being of learners. While the activities are non-diagnostic, they serve as an important first step in identifying learners who may need further health care, support, or intervention.
