1. In reference to DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2019 re: School Calendar for School Year 2019- 2020, SY 2019-2020 shall consist of 203 school days inclusive of the five-day In-Service Training (INSET), the three days for the Parent-Teacher Conference to be conducted within the school year, and the World Teachers’ Day.
2. Whereas, DepEd Order No. 025, s. 2018 states that the 187-day contact time for teachers and learners is non-negotiable to ensure quality in the school operation and actual teaching learning.
3. To compensate for the unexpected suspension of classes particularly in the 3rd Quarter, schools implemented Flexible Learning Options (FLO) as stipulated in Division Memorandum No. 02, s. 2020 and Division Memorandum No. 42, s. 2020.
4. In conformity with these Office issuances, the field is hereby informed of the total number of school days to serve as a guide to schools in determining their respective Number of Schools Days for School Year 2019-2020. However, the number of school days may differ from one grade level to another within a school or from one school to another within the division depending on the scope or the level of the activities the school conducted.
