1. Anchored on Regional Memorandum No. 86, s. 2024, titled “Intensifying Guidance and Counseling Program in Schools,” this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), will conduct an orientation-workshop entitled “Intensifying Counseling and Referral: Adoption and Development of Contextualized School Framework. The initiative seeks to strengthen the delivery of guidance services to ensure they are responsive and ethical which is aligned with DepEd policies and issuance.
2. This activity is designed to guide the Guidance Teachers/Designates and Guidance Counselors in adopting – and where necessary, developing – a school framework that is anchored on DepEd provisions, upholds standards and boundaries. This aims to:
a) To strengthen the understanding of the DepEd policies and issuances on related guidance services.
b) To further clarify the roles, limitations, and ethical boundaries of school personnel handling cases.
c) To adopt and/or develop a contextualized school framework responsive to the needs of learners.
3. Participants to this activity are the Public School Guidance Teachers/Designates and Guidance Counselors of CSDO Dasmarinas.
4. This orientation-writeshop will be conducted online (synchronous and asynchronous) on September 29-30, 2025 via Microsoft Teams; thus, participants are advised to ensure that their DepEd accounts are active.
