1. In support of DepEd’s thrust toward curriculum localization and indigenization, this Division will conduct a live-in Division Training-Workshop on Crafting, Illustrating, and Sharing Stories in the Digital Age on November 11-14, 2025, at The Bayleaf Hotel, Manggahan, General Trias City, Cavite. This initiative seeks to equip writers, illustrators, and storytellers with the necessary competencies to design and produce culturally relevant, engaging learning materials—particularly storybooks enriched with appropriate illustrations— to foster literacy development and stimulate creativity, especially among young learners. Enclosed in this Memorandum is the program of activities and list of participants.

2. This four-day training-workshop is designed to support teachers in creating high-quality, contextualized learning resources and reading materials to address the reading difficulties of learners. By enhancing the capability to develop these resources, we aim to ensure that education remains responsive to the needs of all learners.

3. Participation to this activity shall adhere to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 on Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith, and strict compliance to other existing DepEd rules and guidelines. Teachers are advised to coordinate schedules to ensure non-disruption of classes.

4. Listed participants must confirm their stay at the designated accommodation through this link: https://bit.ly/LRTWConfirm on or before November 06, 2025 to assist the office in finalizing hotel arrangements and ensuring that all logistics are in order.

5. In addition, expenses incurred relative to participation including travelling to the venue may be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulation.
