1. Pursuant to Office Order No. 255, s. 2025 titled “Guidelines on the Preparation and Drafting of Department and Office Orders and Memoranda,” all concerned personnel are hereby informed of the prescribed rules and standards for the preparation, drafting, review, and release of official issuances within the Department of Education.

2. The said guidelines aim to promote clarity, conciseness, completeness, accuracy, and audience-centeredness in all Department communications and official documents. These principles align with the DepEd Manual of Style, which prescribes the proper form and structure of DepEd issuances.

3. Furthermore, issuances shall be written with the reader in mind, using an appropriate tone and clear language suited to the intended audience. As readers are assumed to have no prior knowledge of related documents, all essential information must be included and presented concisely.

4. All personnel involved in drafting communications, memoranda, and other official documents are enjoined to strictly observe the general standards detailed in the said memorandum.
