1. In view of the ultimate goal of the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas to totally eradicate non-readers in all schools, this Division will hold a Training on Reading for Grade 1 and 2 Teachers on May 11-13, 2016 at Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in partnership with the Philippine Christian School of Tomorrow (PCSOT), Parañaque City and City Government of Dasmariñas.
2. This project specifically aims to:
a. Equip Grade I and Grade II teachers with different methods/techniques on how to teach reading among Grade I and II pupils.
b. Eradicate the non-readers in the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas.
3. The participants of the said training are the selected Grade 1 and 2 teachers whose names are stipulated in this Memorandum. They are expected to disseminate/echo the said training to all Grades 1 and 2 teachers in the Division. To make the echo training possible, all Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) are directed to lead and make necessary scheme in their respective cluster so that all leaned strategies/techniques/information/materials on how to teach reading will be cascaded to all Grade 1 and 2 teachers.
4. Conduct of the Echo-Training per cluster will be monitored by Dr. Gemma G. Cortez, EPS-English, Mrs. Leylanie Adao, EPS-LRMDS, Mr. Vic Villador, SEPS- Monitoring and Evaluation who is in-charge in crafting a monitoring tool. Therefore, cluster schedule of training is expected to be submitted in the Division Office.
S. Participants are expected to be in the training venue on May 11,2016 at 7:00 o’clock for registration. Opening Program will start at 8:00 o’clock to be facilitated by Dr. Vanessa Barcarse and the rest of SGOD Group.
6. All schools are expected to implement this project, in the same case, the number of readers will be eradicated.
7. This s a live-in training, hence no participants shall be allowed to leave the training venue until the training has ended.
