Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 588, s. 2004, declaring September 16-22 and every year thereafter as Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection (CPAP) Week and in consonance with DepEd Memorandum No. 139, s. 2017, this Office disseminates the
commemoration of the 14th Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection Week.
The Celebration hopes to build an environment that allows persons with nonprogressive condition affecting the immature brain characterized by movement, balance, and postural problems enjoy productive lives through increasing public cognizance nationwide.
The theme of this year’s CPAP Week Celebration is “Towards an Inclusive Philippine Society for Persons with Cerebral Palsy”.
In view of the foregoing, schools are encouraged to support the lined up activities to ensure the success of the week – long CPAP observance.
