Republic Act 10533 otherwise known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 provides that the Department of Education (DepEd) is mandated to formulate appropriate design and details in the development of the basic education curriculum. It is also provided that the curriculum should adhere to the standards and principles in developing the curriculum by making it relevant, responsive, and research-based.
This Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), will conduct the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) Research Plenum on December 2022. Venue will be announced in a separate memorandum.
This activity is an offshoot of the two-month research lecture series held during the first quarter of 2022. This year’s theme: Staying on the Cutting Edge of Curriculum and Instruction.
The research plenum aims to:
1. Provide opportunities to education supervisors to showcase their research outputs that could address instructional and curricular gaps and challenges.
2. Synergize efforts and ideas of education policymakers and implementers to lay down feasible plans for curriculum and instruction as the schools shift to the new mode of learning.
