On May 09, 2019, Regional Director Diosdado M. San Antonio issued a memorandum providing for the amended Guidelines in the Correction of Entries in the School Records. The guidelines was issued for the purpose of complying with the provisions of Republic Act No. 11032 known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 requiring all government offices and agencies to reengineer their systems and procedures to reduce bureaucratic red tape and service processing time.
In the amended guidelines, the authority to grant or deny the application for correction of entries in the scholastic record is now with the Schools Division Superintendent or in his/her absence, the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent. However, the Office of the Regional Director has
jurisdiction over appeals on the denial of the application.
